When I went to replace them I was told that spinels looked the same and were still good quality (technically better because black diamonds are the lowest quality diamonds, I think..) The earrings are just what I wanted and at a better price. They are a little larger than I would have preferred, but they still look proportional on my ears.These are very pretty stones and the mounting is very sturdy. However the backs are very small and the earring tends to lean forward. A disc back will probably help.These are so massive. I do not like. They are not real 925. My ears hurt so bad from the moment I put them on. I bought to match my ring and I am so disappointed.Product arrived as advertised, with the added bonus of a gift box! Ended up changing the box to a velvet one for earrings, as the box was a little large and had too much space for such a small set of earrings. But overall, fantastic value!The earrings are very pretty but quite tiny. I was expecting a little bigger for the price. Also, the back is very flimsy that I ended up buying earring backs.Simple yet elegant earrings, just the right size
